Highlighting = Accentuating our lovely facial features and making them pop!
There are many ways and looks for highlighting. Check out our guide to see which highlight you should go for depending on the occasion and personal preference!
Dewy Finish Highlight
If you want a more au natural look, go for the dewy highlight look. For this look, you'll want to use a stick creme highlighter to dab onto the areas you want to pop and standout - like your cheekbones, brow bone and cupids bow. This highlight works great for those kinds of days where you want to give yourself an awakened, glowing look yet ditch the makeup routine.
When you want to go the extra mile, go for a shimmery highlight. This type of highlight works great for an everyday look and compliments every makeup style. It takes your makeup game to the next level! Perfect for highlighting the inner eye corners, cheekbones and brow bone.
This one is for those who want to accentuate their facial features, yet not deal with any of the shimmer and shine. Instead of using a highlighter, opt for a lighter-toned concealer, preferably two shades lighter than your skin tone. Use a blender sponge to apply in the areas that will catch the light like the center of the forehead, cheekbones and under the eyes. This type of highlighting is best paired with contouring as they are both matte and look fierce combined.
When you just want to glam it up and shine bright like the star you are, then this is the highlight you are going to want. For this highlight, we recommend using a liquid highlighter, but any powder highlight will work as well, however, you will want to apply with a dampened brush or blender sponge to get maximum pigmentation. It's best applied in the cheekbones, cupids bow, tip of nose and nose bridge, and temples.
