Concealer can be your best friend...if you use it correctly!
Everyone needs a little concealer, even if it is just once in a while. Most people apply it under the entire eye area. Not correct! The best way to disguise the bags is to highlight the crease and then apply a darker shade to the puffy area. This will give the illusion of a smooth under-eye. Jane Iredale's Circle/Delete Under-Eye Concealer comes with two shades just for this purpose. It's also full of Vitamin K to fade hyperpigmentation and repair blood vessels to get rid of those circles!

Curls, waves or straight....get the look with your flat iron!
Get straight, shiny hair. Use the flat iron by sectioning your hair into at least 4 layers. Use clips to keep the layers separated. Then straighten a layer of your hair at a time.
Create a cool crimp by starting with straight hair. Grab a one-inch section of hair and position your flat iron at the root. Twist your wrist back and forth as you glide the iron all the way to your ends.
Use your flat iron to seal in your temporary hair chalk. Your temporary color will last longer.
Get sexy, undone curls by starting with the flat iron near your scalp. Wrap a one-inch section around the flat iron plates as you simultaneously turn the flat iron away from your head (kind of like curling the ribbon with scissors). Continue pulling the iron down the section of hair until you reach the ends.
Get textured, 2 day hair, even on freshly washed hair. First lightly mist hair with a salt spray, like Tigi Catwalk Sessions Spray or Surface Swirl Sea Salt Spray, then loosely braid a few one-inch sections of hair around your face. Run the flat iron over the braids, let cool, then undo them.
Add longer lasting curl to straight hair by rolling a strand into a coil, wrap it in foil and press it with a flat iron.

Filing your nails the right way!
Choose a nail file. Emery boards are the most basic nail file and are a cheap and easy tool for filing your nails. They come in different grits -- the lower the number, the rougher the grit, and the more of your nail it will take away at once. Try to find a file with a grit between 220-300 if you have healthy natural nails.
- Glass files are very effective, but they can be very expensive.
- Crystal files are as effective as glass files, but are cheaper.
- Try to avoid metal files if you can. They can tear your nails and cause peeling.
- Consider getting a few different types of emery boards so you can file your nails as smoothly as possible.
Decide on your nail shape. Before you start filing your nails, you need to decide on the shape you'd like your nails to be. There are five basic nail shapes: oval, square, squoval, round, and pointed/almond. Then create each shape, start at the sides of your nails and follow the natural curve of your cuticle until you reach the center of the nail. Here are the distinctions between the five basic nail shapes:
- Oval. The oval is a basic nail shape for short, low-maintenance nails. This shape is curved at the top, creating an oval shape for the nail.
- Square. The square nail has a slightly curved edge that meets two flat sides. It creates a square (or really, a rectangular) look for each nail.
- Squoval. As the name suggests, this nail shape isn't as round as an oval and isn't as straight as a square. The Squoval, perfect for nails with wide nail beds, is curved but still maintains a partially square look.
- Round. The round nail is more curved than the oval nail. The sides of the round nail are curved and meet at a rounded point.
- Pointed/Almond. This is a more extreme version of the round nail. A pointed nail does not have a flat or curved edge but has both sides meeting up to create a point. This creates a dramatic look but requires higher maintenance.

Skin Care tips that really help!

Look Sun-Kissed! A little tint takes years off your face by evening out your skin tone, which a recent study found is a key marker of youthfulness.
Eat a Skin-Saving Breakfast. The first meal of the day - include almonds. They contain essential fatty acids, which help put the brakes on inflammation that accelerates fine lines, sagging, and blotchiness. Not feeling like a nut or can't eat them? Salmon, tuna, and halibut are good lunch/dinner sources.
Zen Your Skin. Stress is so damaging to skin. High levels of tension can spike hormone production that leads to breakouts or aggravates conditions like psoriasis. Controlling stress keeps your skin calm—but that's easier said than done! But you will be glad you took the time. Taking a 10-minute time-out to apply a face mask and relax. Unplug and turn off!
Protect with Powder! Sunscreen stops working in less than 3 hours, so reapplication is key. For easy touch-ups, use powder sunscreen. It's light, so skincare stays intact.
Pair Your Potions! A 'cross-training' regimen is the key to rapid rejuvenation. Some ingredients—like sunscreen and antioxidants in the morning and retinoids and peptides at night—work better as a team.
