My husband and I are going on vacation for our anniversary. Traveling from rural to urban (New York), I want to look my best, but keep it easy and simple due to baggage restrictions. Can you help! Linda P. Coffeyville, KS
Ally: Hottest trends in hair right now are big volume (pack your mousse) and the low pony tail (easy). Make-up is barely-there beauty with soft eye shadow and nearly nude lips, pus a lower lash liner. You can add a flash of silver or gold to your hair, make-up or accessories for a really trendy look. Joico Gold Dust can add the shimmer to hair and skin and the 1.5 oz. size for $8.00 lasts a long time). P.S. Happy Anniversary!
I'm going on a three week vacation and don't want to hassle with finding a salon but I also don't want roots to show. What can you recommend? Marie W., Mandan, ND
There are a couple of products I think will work great for you. My Secret Corrective Root Touch-up is a spray and the 2 oz. size provides 50+ applications and is only $12.50. Be sure to shake the can well first, then spray on dry hair in short bursts from about 4 inches away. Repeat the short bursts until you have the coverage you want. This comes in 8 shades so you're sure to find a match for your color and dries very quickly without harsh chemicals.
Another product I can highly recommend is Pravana's Nevo Color Enhancer Treatment. There are five shades. You just work it through your damp hair after shampooing. This is a conditioner too! minutes. Leave it on a few minutes and rinse. The longer you leave it, the more color it deposits. It's perfect for traveler and even at home because it keeps your salon color vibrant between visits. It's 5 oz. for $20. I love it.
