Four great celebrity eye looks!
All of these stars have a look that is worth a try. We've got the tips below to help you get it right.
Olivia Wilde has a super-sexy smoky eye look. Get this sultry look by keeping everything soft and smudged. Hard lines are harsh and can make you look scary instead. Use a brush to blend out the eye shadow and a Q-tip to smudge the liner.
Angelina Jolie also has a smoky eye, but she has soften the sultry look with warmer tones. Use browns instead of blacks. It's has a more grown up sex appeal.

Kaley Cuoco has a two-toned approach that is extremely effective and flattering. Purple is actually a very versatile color with skin and girl flattering shades. Kaley used a sparkly lilac shadow on her lids and paired it with a glittery amethyst liner on her lower lashline.

Taylor Swift has wings! Her look is both seductive and sweet. She has thick, dark liner that demands attention but the upward wings create a demure effect. Using liquid liner can be a little difficult. Try using a light brown pencil liner to draw a practice line first. Once your satisfied with the shape, then go over your line with the liquid.

New Skin Care Innovations

Microsilver - it has both anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties so it is great to treat sensitive skin. Look for this in products that are to treat Rosacea and acne.
Encapsulated Active Retinol - You have all heard of retinol...it's not new. What's new is the technology that increases the efficacy of the ingredient getting into the skin. It helps every sign of skin aging by boosting collagen synthesis and stimulating cell turnover.
Salcornia Herbacea - It's a seashore plant that is so good at managing moisture. It survives salty soil and dehydration. Used in skin care products it has unique hydrating properties that stimulates the skin cells' natural water channels so skin more readily absorbs moisture.

Beauty is Timeless!

What should you look for in an anti-aging skin and hair care products? Surprisingly, some of the same ingredients used in skin care anti-aging products are also the essential anti-aging hair care ingredients. Beauty Care Choices makes it easy to know before you buy...product ingredients are listed right on the product web page.
Alterna's Caviar products are anti-aging hair care at its best. The Caviar CC Cream 10-in-1 Complete Correction is a miracle for repairing damage and adding smoothness and moisture to hair. To keep hair supercharged daily you can't beat Caviar Anti-aging Rapid Repair Spray. Get gloriously gorgeous shine and moisture easily. TIP: blow-dry hair...when hair is nearly dry, spritz a little and brush as you finish drying or styling. You won't see flyaways or frizz, just beautiful hair.
Take care of your face during the day using Robanda Anti-Aging Moisturizer with SPF 30 (the level of protection recommended by dermatologists). The luxuriously lightweight creme replenishes moisture and enhances cell renewal as it protects. At night, cleanse face thoroghly and apply the Intensive Night Cream. It beautifully moisturizes and provides powerful anti-aging benefits. Robanda is all about anti-aging skin care prevention and repair. Need immediate repair? Instantly Ageless is a facelift in a bottle. It works to instantly reverse signs of aging and lasts up to 8 hours.
Bad night's sleep? Feeling droopy and your face shows it? Extreme Lift Face by Kinerase is your anti-aging and repair best friend. It immediately reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. After cleansing skin, smooth it on (a little goes a long way) and wait 5 minutes before applying moisturizers and make-up. You will see and love the results.
Key Anti-aging Ingredients:
- Retinol - a derivative of vitamin A, making it a milder version of retinoids (a prescription-only wrinkle fighter). While it takes several weeks to see results, retinol is the most effective over-the-counter anti-aging ingredient. Apply retinol-based products at night on dry skin to avoid sensitivity and be sure to apply a moisturizer with SPF every morning.
- Ceramides (Skin and Hair) - the "glue" that holds out skin together and will help to mend broken hair fibers and reinforce the hair's structure. Niacinamide - lightens dark spots caused from acne scars, sun damage or old age with a vitamin B3 derivative that prevents pigmentation from rushing to the surface.
- Hyaluronic Acid (Skin and Hair)- a humectant, meaning that it draws out water from the air and dermis (the skin that lies below the surface). It even spurs new collagen production.
- Alpha Hydroxy Acids - exfoliators that gently dissolve the "glue" that holds surface skin cells together, letting the dead ones slough away to reveal youthful looking skin. This process encourages cell turnover, which typically slows with age. Getting rid of dead skin also lets moisturizers, serums, and skin treatments penetrate the skin and work more effectively.
- L-ascorbic acid - is stable Vitamin C, an important antioxidant that helps build collagen, reduce inflammation, and promote elasticity to plump up skin.
- Avobenzone - protection against UVA rays paired with benzophenone-3 or oxybenzone to shield against UVB rays. For maximum protection, apply a chemical sunscreen directly on skin before serum, lotion, or makeup.
- Antioxidants (Skin and Hair) - slow down the clock and help prevent and repair damage to your body tissue by encouraging cell growth, neutralize free radicals (unstable, damaging molecules in your body caused by elements such as sunlight, smoke, and pollution). The most popular antioxidants include vitamins C and E, pomegranate, green tea, and coffeeberry extracts.

Mineral Make-up Facts!
The History:
Mineral makeup got its commercial start in the 1970's but its history is as ancient as the human desire to enhance one's looks. Mineral makeup is a return to technologies that have been in use since ancient times. Many ancient cultures used ground-up natural minerals as a means of applying color to the skin for decoration, camouflage, war paints, etc. Cleopatra's kohl-rimmed eyes are an example. The history of mineral makeup goes back much farther, even to early cave-dwellers.
In 1976, cosmetics firms were required to list ingredients on their products for the first time many consumers were shocked at what they were putting on their skin. The growing desire for natural cosmetics coincided with the increasing number of women who identified themselves as having sensitive skin. Add in marketing and media awareness, and an aging baby boomer and the mineral make-up industry blossomed.
What is in it?
Minerals such as iron oxides, talc, zinc oxide, and titanium dioxide are micronized, or ground and milled, into tiny particles to create makeup. Different products micronize to different levels. A product micronized to six times leaves minerals larger so they go on the skin with light to medium coverage. Products micronized 12 times create fine-sized particles that sit closer together and offer more coverage.
A key difference from conventional makeup is what's not in mineral makeup. It generally does not contain the emollient oils and waxes, fragrance, and preservative ingredients found in conventional formulations.
To ensure you're buying a quality mineral makeup product, read the label. If it says "mineral-enriched" or if the formulation is liquid or mousse, these products may contain ingredients such as paraben preservatives or dimethicone added for a smooth texture. Items that aren't powders might also contain moisturizers, antioxidant vitamins, or other good for your skin ingredients, so it's your choice.
Is it worth it?
When it comes to mineral makeup's skin-soothing properties it is anti-inflammatory, noting that the calamine lotion you use to calm a rash is basically zinc oxide colored with iron oxide, both of which are in mineral makeup. But there's no proof of this claim or indication of how much product you need for that result. What about the claim that it's so gentle you can sleep in it? Mineral makeup's light-as-air feel is part of what makes it so popular, and tempting to sleep in. Still, experts advise against sleeping in makeup of any kind to prevent clogs and irritation.
Mineral makeup might not last as long on your face or be as durable as conventional makeup because it doesn't contain standard cosmetic ingredients such as binders, waterproof polymers, and other "stick-to-your-skin" agents. You may still need to add an SPF to your face as well. True mineral makeup is limited in its natural range of shades, so it may be difficult to find a perfect skin tone match. Today, however, there are so many brands and variations, you have unlimited choices: try Jane Iredale, GloProfessional or Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics if you are ready to make the change.

Make-up Tips

Sometimes we do things the same way for years and never change our routine. Then someone mentions a little trick and we wonder "Why didn't I think of that?" We've put together eight make-up tricks and tips. If you have one, comment below and share with the rest of us!
Use eyeliner that has the undertones of the opposite color of your eyes to help each stand out and make your eyes pop! Blue eyes use copper eyeliner. Brown eyes, use navy blue. Green eyes, use purple.
Adding a wing to your eyeliner: place your pen at the outmost part of your nostril, then angle it upward to meet the outer edge of your eye. Start the wing at that spot and draw down toward your lash line.
Mascara goes on more smoothly if it is warm. Stick it in your bra while you do your other make-up or point a warm air dryer at it for a few seconds.
Use your hair dryer to SLIGHTLY heat up your eyelash curler (be sure to hold it against your wrist to make sure it isn’t too hot), and then curl your eyelashes while holding the curler horizontal to the floor rather than perpendicular.
Make your eyes look brighter: Use white eyeliner on your lower lash waterline, and then also white liner with a tad of shimmer on the inner corners of your eyes.
Brush your lips with a toothbrush and Vaseline. Do it before you apply lip color and it makes dramatic lipstick look smoother.
Make lips look fuller: Put highlighter on your cupid’s bow and in the center of your bottom lip. It gives more lip definition and makes them look fuller.
Moisturize 5 to 10 minutes ahead of applying foundation. Your makeup will be easier to apply and It will rest better on your skin. It’s so simple, yet many people don’t do this.
